About Measurements Collecting

When do I need to take measurements?

Firstly, uploading a front-view photo of your steering wheel is strongly advised. By inspecting the image you uploaded, our sales can make it clear whether to take measurements or other details to be confirmed.
Okay, now we will share with you some example occasions about measurement data collecting:

The original steering wheel has wooden parts.

This type of steering wheel is usually seen on Toyota luxury models like Toyota Land Cruiser Series. The size of the steering wheel combined with the leather and wooden parts will change as time goes by, which will cause.

The original steering wheel has Alcantara parts.

This occasion is similar to the first occasion: the steering wheel is combined with two different materials. (leather+wood or leather+Alcantara) It is usually seen on Mercedes Ben AMG models. As its service time increases, the Alcantara parts are more likely to be distended than the leather parts, which will make the size very strange.

The original steering wheel cover has been worn out or taken off already.

Our custom steering wheel cover templates are designed according to the factory-original steering wheels. Therefore, please note that there is no need to take off the original leather cover before installing our products. In addition, if your steering wheel has been worn out or damaged, please take measurements as advised. Our craftsmen will shrink the steering wheel cover based on the measurement data you provided.

How do we collect required measurements accurately?

For the steering wheels with the status I listed above, we have to take measurements to produce a perfect fit custom steering wheel cover. Usually, the 12 o'clock, 2 o'clock, 4 o'clock, and 6 o'clock measurement data of the target steering wheel are required.

Please use a soft tape ruler to measure the circumference of the steering wheel.

If you do not have a soft tape, no worries. You can wind the steering wheel body with a thread or a stripe of paper, leave a mark on it, and then measure the length between marks to get the circumference of your steering wheel body.
