Pre-Install Checklist
1. Package Inspection
Thoroughly inspect the package for any signs of damage upon delivery. Once opened, verify all components are present:
- 1 steering wheel cover
- 1 installation toolkit (includes 2 threads, 1 double-sided adhesive strip, 1 trim tool, 1 thimble)
2. Design Confirmation
Double-check that the cover matches the design and specifications of your order. If there's any discrepancy, please notify us immediately before proceeding.
3. Critical Reminder
Under no circumstances should you remove the original leather from your steering wheel. Doing so will result in an improper fit for our cover.
4. Adhesive Advisory
Important: The double-sided tape is optional and not required for installation. Once applied, the cover becomes non-returnable.
5. Orientation Guide
The "F" label marks the Front side (facing the driver), while "B" indicates the Back side. Align these labels correctly for a seamless fit.
6. No Disassembly Needed
Relax—this installation is designed for convenience! The cover can be installed directly on your vehicle's steering wheel without requiring disassembly.
7. Timely Communication
If you encounter any of the above issues, contact our customer service team within 7 days of delivery. Delayed notifications may affect warranty coverage.
Installation Steps
Step 1: Steering Wheel Cover Fitment Testing
Please put the steering wheel cover on your steering wheel, ensuring that the areas around the spokes and bulges fit well. Adjust the position of the steering wheel cover, and make it line up correctly. Referencing the original spokes and seams of the steering wheel, you can test whether you have received the right product.
Step 2: Double-sided Adhesive Tape Applying
Please use the double-sided adhesive tape to stick the steering wheel cover to your steering wheel. We suggest applying tape to the front and back of the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions of the steering wheel. In this way, you can fix the position of the steering wheel cover to prevent sliding during the sewing step. Please note that you should not apply the tape too close to the edge of the steering wheel cover or on top of the stitches.
Step 3: Excess Material Tucking
Please use the trim tool to tuck the excess material into the gap behind the steering wheel. Fold the excess material before tucking it in, otherwise the steering wheel cover may be scratched by the trim tool.
Step 4: Start Sewing
Please use a length of thread provided that is 3-4 times the length of the section you are going to sew. Loop the thread through the pre-sewn parallel threads on the steering wheel cover, and start sewing, please follow the video to tie a knot before sewing to secure the thread. Please go through every stitch, as it is easier to close up the steering wheel cover. Please pull the thread tightly as you move along, ensuring that each stitch is secure.
Step.5 Knotting and finish the stitching
Tie a knot when you reach at the end of spoke and secure the thread tightly, then you can cut the extro thread and hide the knot underneath the leather.
